Service Project 2022
So far this year the F.H.S. National Honor Society has completed two Service Projects.
The first one was our annual "Adopt A Family" project through SERVE in Fulton, MO. We adopted a family with four children and NHS students went shopping to purchase gifts for each child. They had a fun time picking out clothes, books, and some toys! These items were then collected, sorted, and delivered to SERVE by our amazing NHS officers; President, Grace Ousley, VP, Daniel Moak, Treasurer, Pauline Fouts, and(not pictured) treasurer, Olivia Huff on December 4, 2022.
Our 2nd Service Project was completed on January 17, 2023. Chief Ladwig, from the Fulton Police Department came to FHS to pick up stuffed animals that NHS has collected and donated to the police department for kids in the community. We wanted the police officers to be able to give a child who has had a traumatic event or experience a stuffed animal to help calm them or to brighten their days when things aren’t going as planned. The FPD was very happy to receive these donations and we hope to make this a new yearly service project for our NHS chapter.
